My dad visited today and told me that my brother was in hospital after drinking a full bottle of vodka. He's been in since saturday apparently. Hopefully he should be out again in a couple of days, they are waiting for some blood tests to come back I think. anyway might visit the silly sod later as its not far from us.
He ought to have more sense at his age though.

I love to blog but my baby just loves to dance
I love to blog: Why do I like to blog, well because its a way of telling my friends whats going on with me and my family, sure I expect it can be boring at times, but I think they made a film out of bored housewifes or something, so It can't be all the bad.
Anyway through blogging I have made some fantastic friends, and have been to meet some of them, some of them I was already close too before, but its a good way for us all to keep in touch, kind of an online community if you like.
So whats happening around here lately.
Well bear 1 is off at university
Bear 2 has got a job.
and Bear 3 is back to school. So yippee we got the house back lol
Me Im just trying to find the house again, and having some much needed chill out time.
Thanks to my friends for being around, and writing their very funny blogs.

Alton Towers
On friday we went to Alton Towers, which is a theme park in staffordshire for them that don't know lol. Its one of those places were you pay your entrance fee and all the rides are free. Anyway we got there about half past ten, because its a two hour drive from here, but it was just past eleven when we got in the park because of the queues.
The first ride we went on was the teacups, but at Alton Towers they are more like the waltzer or whip than teacups, then we went on the flume and the rapids (we have photo's of the rapids). Then we went to were the nemesis is, and my brother says come on lets go on this, well I wasn't sure at all, but I thought oh well why not. So we got in the queue it was really scarey watching it go round before we got on . For those of you thats not seen it its a twisty turny loopy loop rollercoaster, but instead of it going on the track its slung below it. Anyway once we got on it was quite scarey but not as bad as watching it go round, it was difficuilt to figure wich way you were looking though.
Then we went on the cable cars to another part of the park and that was more scarey than the nemesis lol. There is a new rollercoaster called Rita Queen of Speed which lives up to its name, It sets off at onehundred miles an hour and never really slows down anyway me and my dad went on that and had our photo took, my brother went on too but he went on before us, it was well cool, I am really surprised my dad went on. Then we caught the cable cars back down to the entrance and on the way they stopped when we were about one hundred foot up and that was well scarey lol.
Anyway have some photos so will publish them on my blog when hubby shows me how.
Little bear loved it she went on the flume, teacups, rapids, big swings, pirate ship, driving school, charlie and the chocolate factory ride and loads more lol.
Any by for now.

Bank Holiday Weekend
Ive just been away for the weekend with little bear, we went to Northampton and met TJ there, it was really good to meet her, in person at last, and her two children. Little bear really enjoyed herself lots of countryside to run around in and make as much noise as she can lol.
We originally thought we were going camping but at the last minute it was discovered that there was room for us to stay in the house, so it was more comfortable, but the people we were staying with still had a big camp fire for little bear which she loved lol.
Anyway have really enjoyed myself, but am really tired now lol.

Sheffield on Sea
Today the council brought in tons of sand and turned the Peace Gardens into a giant beach for the kids. It was in front of the Big fountain in the gardens, so all the kids were going on the beach and then going in the fountain in their swimming costumes. I took little bear and she enjoyed herself thoroughly, there was also a punch and judy show, which she watched, she's never seen it before, and she thought it was good.
Before we went home she went for a ride on a donkey which I had to lead round a paddock, mine refused to move at first, so little bear said pull it mum, I said I am pulling arillyn, but it turned out it wouldn't move until the one in the front moved. Anyway when we got back to the start position, it disgraced itself thoroughly by doing a gynormous pile of donkey poo. lol. So I left before I had to clean it up :)

Blackpool
Yesterday bears, son of mine and girlfriend and little bear and I went to blackpool, for the day with son of ours church.
It was a good day out, and the rain kept off all the time we were there, Of course because it was raining when we set off I didn't bother taking little bear a change of trouses, so what did she do head straight for the sea lol, on the way there she sank in a rockpool and left her trainers in it lol,
Anyway she soon dried out, but she had to spend the rest of the day without her socks that were soaking lol. She had a good time making sandcastles on the beach with her cousin, and going on the donkeys. Unfortunately after about an hour the tide came in so we decided to go for a walk on the pier that was when all the trouble started.
Little bear saw the waltza and decided she wanted to go on, well I like waltzers so I said ok then and took her on, but in the process I managed to lose a bag with copper in it only about a quid and my mobile phone, which is really annoying because I have also lost all my numbers and I am now phoneless, which means hubby can't contact me when I am out, not that he does anyway, but I like to take it just in case.
Anyway other than that it was a good day, we took little bear to the pleasure beach and we went on the grand prix ride, which is cars that you drive round, little bear loved it, would have bought the photo only we both looked really stupid on it lol.

Rain, loads, and loads of Rain
Weve had lots of rain up here today, simply chucked it down all day, but after I had put the washing out so its still wet through on the line waiting for me to bring it in. But the rain has brought welcome relief to the heat we have been having recently. Hubby of course loves it, surprised he hasn't gone for a walk yet.
But anyway the garden neads the rain, especially the grass which was looking a bit brown recently, and all the tree's were starting to lose there leaves and go brown at the edges.

American Adventure
Today me and little bear went to American Adventure with the school. It was an whole school day out, so they took 11 coaches all together.
It was a good day out, but we didn't get to go on everything, there just wasn't time also little bear was to small to go on some rides, but she still had a good day out. I think she liked going on the rapids best because we all got a bit wet, but it was all jolly good fun . We also went on the Runaway train which was very scary and banged you about a lot, but little bear liked it. We went on a 3D cinema ride, you like sat in roller coaster type seats which moved, and you wore three D glasses which made the characters on the screen come out at you, It was very good, if a bit scary lol.
Anyway am absolutely bushed now, so will sign off.

Harmonica's
Yesterday I was helping out at a school jumble sale, and little bear was helping me, so I put her in charge of the toy stall, whilst on the stall she found an harmonica so I bought it for her thinking, she would probably drive us all daft with it lol.
Anyway we bought it home, and it turns out she's an absolute natural with it, she must take after her dad because he can play, I can't lol, it's one instrument I never did learn to play, guitar and keyboard are my thing. but I never did get the hang of anything you blow except the recorder.
The jumble sale went well, and we raised a bit for the school, it is to go towards a school trip to American Adventure in July. We are hoping to have another sale in a couple of weeks because not a lot of people turned up, so hopefully if we publisise it more we might raise even more.

Desks and Crumble
Today has been a day for doing all those round to it jobs that we have been putting off.
Hubby got round to putting up a new desk for the computer, which didn't take that long really, it just took ages to clear out were the desk was going to go. It looks nice though now it is finished it looks very posh.
I got round to making an apple and mango crumble that I have been meaning to make for a few days and kept forgetting about. It was really nice I used three apples and half a mango, could have done with a little bit more sugar but it was ok. So thanks teej for mentioning crumble lol

Finally got the grass cut hurray
Today was the first time in about three weeks its not rained up here, so I decided I would cut the grass (so far so good)
I got all the equipment out of the hut and proceeded to try and cut the grass, Firstly the mower kept overheating and I kept having to stop every two minutes and replug in the plug and try it again. Anyway I managed to get the front cut and half of the back and then disaster, it threw the belt and started making a noise like a wounded animal.
So I went to see if hubby would fix it only to find he was asleep so ok I thought I will fix it myself, it can't be that hard) Unfortunately I hadn't counted on the fact that my dad fixed it last time and when he tightens things up they are really tight lol. It took me half an hour just to undo the nut at the bottom to take the blade off, after that I managed to fix it quite quickly. So feeling quite pleased with myself I started to cut the rest of the garden, all was well for about fifteen minutes and then it overheated again and refused to work.
As you can imagine by this point I was getting fairly brassed off to say the least. On top of all this my strimmer has broke in half, so I had to borrow one of a neighbour and it wasn't half as good as mine, it took five times longer to strim the edges. Anyway I went back to the mower because my back was killing with the strimming and managed to get it to work for another five minutes, back to the strimming again, then the strimmer decided to misbehave itself as well, the spool kept falling off every two minutes.
by this time I am starting to lose my temper big time, and I threaten them both with the bin if they don't work. The strimmer took notice, but it was wasted on the lawn mower who flatley refused to work at all.
Anyway I had more or less finished by this time and so I just strimmed the rest, So finally all the grass is cut, it took me five hours and it normally only takes two. Me thinks me is going to replace the garden equipment lol.
Anyway by for now

MSM messenger
Well Ive finally given in and decided to try msm messenger to talk to people. You see I thought it was just a teen thing. But then a friend of mine visited and asked me if I would talk to her in the evenings on it because she was lonely in the evenings while her hubby was away at university. So I said I would and it has started from there, I discovered other people where on it I knew, and I have ended up having some good conversations with people, after all it beats watching the telly, and if I want I can still watch the telly at the same time. Also I can bug bear one when he is supossed to be getting his college work done and he is really on messenger instead lol. I keep bugging him with lots of winks saying WORK.
Its been a lovely day up here and I have been out in the garden, but me being me I have got sunburnt again, I do this every year I think, I won't get sunburnt its only may, and I get sunburnt lol.
Anyway thanks to those people I have had good conversations with (teej and cloudy) and will see you all soon, off to bed now has it has been a very long day.

Busy Busy Bear
I thought I would bring you up to date with what I have been doing over the last week. Well in short I have been trying to catch up with the housework, ironing, and gardening, that I haven't been doing while I have been doing the kitchen that time forgot.
I have managed to tidy up two of the three bedrooms and I have almost got all the ironing done just one basket to go now. Which is good going because the ironing pile was the size of mount everest because I didn't do any at all for about three weeks, because of having a bad back.
On Saturday I managed to get the back garden cut the grass was sky high, and now I am just left with the front garden to mow and the back hedge to cut, but again had to take a rest for a few days because of my back.
My whiplash injury is now ok in my neck but it now seems to have transferred itself to my back which is really annoying, but such is life.
I also have a really long form to complete for bear no 1's university application and it is so complicated it makes my head hurt. Its one of those forms that uses fifty words when two will do, you know the sort I mean. (If you have answered no to this question go to part 5 sort of forms, if you have answered yes give details below etc. Also the form requires me to dig out a lot of paperwork, some of which I am not sure of the whareabouts off, but I guess it will get sorted out in the end.

The kitchen that time forgot part 3
Well the kitchen that time forgot is finally finished. It looks great now nice smooth clean walls and laminate floor on the floor. We have managed to do it without spending too much as well which is good. Its also much easier to keep clean.
I haven't been too well over the last week, I was involved in a slight car accident a week ago and I have ended up cricking my kneck, I have been to the doctors and she has put me on some strong pain killers which work great for the pain but they make me feel drowsy. Still I am feeling a little better now so maybe I will be able to catch up with the housework.

The Kitchen That time forgot part 2
Here is this weeks report on the kitchen that time forgot.
Day 8
finally finished filling up all the holes and refiting cupboards etc etc.
Day 9
Dad paints ceiling (I don't do ceilings) and I go in search of some paint, but I can't get what I want. So hubby says we will go with the pale yellow colour we already have that looks like custard. Dad says he will call at the paint shop near him that is closing down to see if they have an odd can of bright yellow left.
Day 10
Dad gets some rather bright yellow at the paint shop near him, Dad paints ceiling again. I put on the custardy paint on the walls as an undercoat to seal walls because we are painting over bare plaster. Dad comments we need sun glasses now to go into the kitchen.
Anyway its looking much better now, maybe next week it might be finished, tune in next week to hopefully the final episode of the kitchen that time forgot.

Decorating
Sorry folks that I have been away for a while, only, after five years we have finally got round to decorating the kitchen, so here goes.
Let me explain the kitchen is about 9 ft x 9 ft square and is covered in really nasty artex on the walls and the ceilings, which we knew would have to come off because it collected all the grease and was really difficuilt to clean, hence why we put it off for five years. Ok so I have not cleaned the walls very often.
Anyway we finally decide to start decorating it with a bit of help from my father here is a diary of last two weeks.
Day 1
We manage to get the area round the sink clear of artex by using the technique of soaking it with hot soapy water and scaping it off with a wallpaper scraper five hours to do about a nsix foot square, one very knackered bear.
Day 2
More artex scraped off. Me and Dad covered in artex along with the cooker, sink, freezer, cat etc and unsuspecting husband.
Day 3 as above.
Day 4 finally finish the artexing yippee! unlike hubby who is still trying to get rid of the artex that has transported itself all over the house and all over hubby. Note artex' + water + hubby = concrete ;) especially as he dosen't move much lol.
Then we (Me and Dad) start on the floor. The floor is full off very horrible brown ceramic, broken floor tiles, that everyone falls over.
Day 5
We start on the floor, I thought the artex was bad, the tiles come up ok, but it leaves lots of yukky very wet cement on the floor which takes ages to be scraped up. The tiles go under the dishwasher, so a friend decides to help by pulling out the dishwasher to get to the tiles underneath, and knackers the dishwasher in the process by catching the waste pipe on jaggered tiles and ripping it off, at this point, hubby turns green grows to three times his size and splits his shirt (why is it never the trousers ?) and defends his wallet with a long sharp sword! But he very kindly (Ha Ha) agrees to buy me a new dishwasher, but dad wants to wait until the kitchen is finished, hubby threatens to hit us both with a large plank of wood or his wallet which ever is heaviest.
Hubby says who are you Ive never seen you before in my life. Yeah right!
Day 6
More work on the floor, underneath the tiles are some very horrible lino tiles, which have come up in places and are totally wet through because of the dishwasher spillage. So you guessed it they have to come up as well five hours, and several cut fingers later, we finally get them up. Only to discover some hardboard underneath. Dad says sod it, it will be allright to leave down for the laminate floor, if we ever get round to fitting it.
Day 7
Go with hubby to sort out DLA renewal claim, dad starts doing the fiddly little jobs and filling up holes etc. Me and hubby have stressful day.
Time to rest now for me and hubby.
Tune in to next weekish thrilling episode, of the Kitchen that time forgot.......................

Jigsaws
I have decided I don't like Jigsaws.
For ages I have had a jigsaw in the cupboard with two Zebra's on it, a 500 piece one, which I found in our garden. So I thought I would keep it until little bear was old enough to do it. Anyway yesterday I got it out and me and little bear sat down to do it, she was quite keen, anyway we managed to do the edge after about an hour, so far so good. But the rest proved to be down right impossible, little bear got fed up and left me to do the rest after about seven more hours and about twenty pieces later I decided to put it away and taped up the box very securely.
Anyway I have decided will take it up to my mothers as she likes doing Jigsaws and is much better at it than me, having got so far it would be nice to see it completed. I know all the pieces are there because it was still in its plastic wrapper so it just must be me, who is absolutely rubbish at jigsaws. How some people like doing them is beyond me.

Family Matters
Well a lot has been going on on the family front over the last few days, so here goes (sorry TJ).
Bear No 1 is at his girlfriends, again I did the worry thing while he got down, but he phoned to say he arrived safely. So thats good.
Bear No 2 has been for a couple of interviews, she will find out next week if she has been successful, so I am keeping everything crossed again.
And I have been worrying about this CJD thing, because its been on the news that another patient has been diagnosed with it after receiving infected blood products from a patient who had CJD. You see when I first heard that I had received some blood from an infected batch, I wasn't really concerned because I thougt if I did have it then I would have died by now because it was nine years ago. But unfortunately this patient contracted the disease about eight years later so now I just don't know, what to think and I am doing what bear does best and worrying like crazy. Although I don't have any symptons yet (as far as I know) so I guess there isn't much to worry about.
Anyway hubby has told me to make an appointment with the docs and talk to her about it, so I guess I will do that first, and take it from there.
Hope I have not depressed you all.

Loads of Money
We were talking today with a friend about the Euro Millions Draw. It seems the whole planet is talking about it dosen't it, and the ridiculous amount of money that the Jack pot has mounted up to. I can't begin to imagine what that amount of money would look like, If you asked for it cash, I bet it wouldn't fit in your purse lol.
So we were talking and thinking of all the totally ridiculous things you could do with that amount of money. I said that you would be that rich, that you could say to the makers of Star Trek, that you wanted them to make another series, and you wanted a part in it. Of course if they gave you a red uniform, that would mean your character would die instantly but what the hey.
Another thing you could do would be to build a swimming pool, or buy the swimming baths.
Don't get me wrong, I don't do the lotery so I'm not likely to win, it was just a bit of a laugh, but it cheered us up for a couple of hours thinking of all the most outragous things we could do.

Snow
When I was out this morning it started to snow but it was so weird, it was really fine, dry powdery stuff. In fact it looked more like rice or ash then snow.
I was wondering where is this really bad winter that was forecast? We have had hardly any snow at all and that what we did have didn't stay, Maybe because its been dry for so long we are in for a shock any time soon. Hubby says what goes up must come down, so it must come down eventually.
Anyway its -3 and its boring because we don't have any proper snow.
